SERVING OUR COMMUNITY'S LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL AND CITIZENS

Chaplaincy - Welcome From the Chaplain

Welcome -

John Thompson
The fields are ripe and ready for harvest but the workers are few.

It is such a blessing and privilege to minister to the 700 plus officers in the various departments our Chaplaincy serves in Spokane County. Being a Chaplain in law enforcement is a unique ministry and requires a special calling. Because of the tremendous stresses the officers face daily, our Chaplains must be equipped and trained to minister in unusual circumstances. Our Chaplain’s team ministers not only to law enforcement but to the community as well. Working with officers as a team in traumatic situations is a life changing experience. The Chaplain brings comfort and counsel to the officer, the victim, and others on scene. This is truly where "the rubber meets the road" making this the hardest yet most rewarding ministry at the same time. Please prayerfully consider if this might be the Flock for you.

- Chaplain Director John D. Thompson
